See the whole guitar neck through five simple chord shapes.

The CAGED system turns the five open chords every guitarist learns first (C, A, G, E and D) into a map of the entire fretboard. In this companion book to his Complete CAGED Guitar Method video course, Mark John Sternal walks you step by step from open chords to movable shapes, then to every major and minor chord and scale position in all 12 keys.

Inside you will learn:

• Open chords and how to free up your index finger to make any shape movable

• Barre chords built from the C, A, G, E and D shapes

• How the five CAGED shapes link together up and down the neck

• Minor chords and dominant 7 chords in every CAGED position

• Major and minor scale patterns that sit right inside each chord shape

• Practice routines that lock the system into your hands

• Popular 3- and 4-chord songs to put it all to use

CAGED in every key: a full appendix of chord and scale charts for all 12 keys, five sheets per key, laid out full page for quick reference and printing.

Every chapter lists the matching chapters of the video course, so you can read, watch and play along.
